Our work is funded by voluntary donations and it is the generosity of our supporters that enables us to provide seeds and plants; agricultural equipment; and training and advice to the schools and community organisations that we support in Africa.
Donating is easy and there are many simple ways for you to do it:

You can ask your bank to make regular donations to us. If you are able to make a regular (monthly or quarterly) donation this will be much appreciated. To do so please use the standing order form that you will find here . This should be completed and sent to: Seeds for Africa If you want your donation to remain anonymous you can send the form directly to you bank, but if you do this we will not be able to thank you. An email address will help us to keep our costs down. If you would like to be put on our newsletter e-mailing list please tell us If you are able to make your donation under Gift Aid please also complete the Gift Aid section of the standing order form. |

A regular donation can be deducted from your salary by your employer. You can make regular Give as you Earn donations through your payroll. This means that your donation will be deducted from your salary and Seeds for Africa will automatically receive the tax credit of 25 pence for every pound that you give and, if you are a higher rate or 50% rate taxpayer, you will automatically receive the tax reduction that you are entitled to. Talk to your employer's HR or payroll department about this. If they have an arrangement with a Payroll Giving Agency they will be able to give you a form to complete. Seeds for Africa will not share your personal information with any other organisation - but third-party financial institutions used to process transactions will use it for this purpose only, and if you make your donation under Gift Aid your details will be provided to HMRC in support of our claim. Donors have the right to cancel their donation within a seven day period.
Legacies
A legacy can be used to set up a garden or an orchard. In those cases where the legacy is more than £1000 we can sometimes arrange for the garden or orchard to be named after or dedicated to someone chosen by the donor. If you would like to include a legacy to SEEDS for AFRICA in your Will we suggest that you consult solicitor. If you do not have a solicitor you can find one by searching the http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/choosingandusing/findasolicitor.law
You may prefer to make a will through http://www.totallyfreewills.co.uk/page/ who will not charge you for a basic will.
Your solicitor may wish to use a form of words along the following lines:
"I give to SEEDS for AFRICA of Rutherford College, University of Kent, Canterbury, Kent CT2 7NX (registered charity number 1122357) absolutely [[write in here whatever you wish to give: this could be a stated sum of money (which should be stated in figures and in words) or a percentage or fraction of your estate, or is could be a specified item or asset that you own]] to be applied by SEEDS for AFRICA for its charitable purposes, and I further direct that the receipt of any proper officer of SEEDS for AFRICA for the time being shall be sufficient discharge to my executors"
