Activity 1
Flags:
Look at the flags of the many African nations and design a new flag for an imaginary country in Africa based on the food you imagine would be eaten and colours you think fit with that country.
Activity 2
Design and print:
Design and print on paper or material a pattern that follows African tradition in some way. This will mean you need to look at the kind of beautiful tribal prints and designs used and found in Africa.
Activity 3
Sketch a portrait:
While you have been researching African culture, you will have seen pictures of many children – if not, have a look at the image gallery on our website. Using only a sketching pencil or charcoal or pastels sketch a picture of the child and include the background if you can.
Activity 4
Paint a poster:
Design a poster advertising a money raising event that you might hold for Seeds for Africa.
Activity 5
Collage:
Work with a partner on a large collage which can be anything related to your work on Africa eg; a field of different crops shown in different ways and textures or a face or simply a pattern.
