What information do we collect and how do we use it?
When you visit our website we collect some non-identifying basic information. This includes total number of visitors, pages viewed, and other non-identifying information. We use this aggregate information to improve our website.
Donations and purchases made on-line through our website are secure. When you make a donation on-line we ask for your name, address, daytime phone, e-mail address, and credit card information. We use your information to process your donation, to verify your credit card data, and to send you your receipt. Your phone number is used only to contact you if we need to verify order information and occasionally to thank you for your contribution.
Our web-website system is designed to track what you are purchasing while you make your choices. So that you can keep the items in your basket whilst you shop we use “cookies,” which are small pieces of information that are held in your computer. The “cookies” we use are temporary and are only used to process your order. If you would prefer not to have these “cookies” on your system please make your donations and purchase by telephone or by post.
We also sometimes use “cookies” to track the number visitors we have on our website for particular campaigns or events. We use this information to tell us how effective the campaign was. We do not use this information to identify individual visitors. We may also use cookies to help us ensure that our website works efficiently and is user-friendly.
We do not knowingly collect any personal information from a child without the consent of the child’s parent(s). Children under the age of 16 should obtain parental consent before ordering from our website.
Do we share your information?
Seeds for Africa does not share your personal information with any third party and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. If you make a donation under Gift Aid your name and address will be given to Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs in support of our claim for the tax repayment that we are due.
We may disclose to third parties statistics regarding donations but these statistics do not include any personally identifying information.
We use third-party financial institutions to process credit card transactions. They receive credit card number and other personal information to verify credit card numbers and to process credit card transactions in a secure environment.
How do we provide a secure environment for on-line transactions?
Seeds for Africa uses Streamline and PayPal which are secure third party Credit Card Payment and Electronic Commerce Systems to ensure the safety of online transactions for those wishing to make donations and purchase products.
The service provider collects your name, address, phone, credit card numbers and expiration date in order to process your transaction. Their encryption technology offers the highest level of security available on the Internet today. They have state-of-the-art firewalls and other security technology in place to ensure the confidentiality of your transactions.

This Act governs our processing of your personal data. You may request a copy of any personal information that Seeds for Africa has about you (for which we may charge a small fee).
